Some Assembly Required

The invitations have been printed (above image is a preview!) and we’re working on getting them out to everyone by the coming weekend. Lunar Caustic Press did a great job with the letterpress printing and thanks goes out to my sister on the beautiful design work. In an effort to be green, we printed the main invite on watercolour paper made of 100% cotton rag from Woolfitt’s and wrapped it in handmade Japanese paper from The Paper Place. We hope you like them!

Music to My Ears

One thing that Khiem and I have in common is that we love music. It’s true that he added his snoring drone to one of Mozart’s masterpieces the first time I took him to the symphony (here’s a classic blog from Khiem about his symphonic experience); and yes, I am a liability when it comes to Cranium because I can’t hum or whistle tunes OR identify names of songs when others hum or whistle them. (In my defense I’m really good at drawing with my eyes closed.)

But despite our shortcomings, we both like music. The first concert we ever went to together was The Strokes. My favourite concert would have to be Metric. And we’re going to see The Killers in a couple weeks and the Stars in December. Super-excited!

Also, I think Khiem and I both already separately talked about our idea to compile a list of music for our wedding favour cd somewhere in the blogosphere, so I might as well talk about it here too! That’s how much we want to share the music we like with you. And yeah, we may have a couple of typical songs spattered here and there, but for the most part we hope it’ll be a fresh new take on the cd favour (plus it’ll be packaged in recycled letterhead - thanks Anna E)! We hope you like it :D
